Recovered Player Notes

The World File

Return to the Observer

The save opens on a plain little home world, not a dungeon and not a ruin. There is an oak house at spawn with a furnace corner, a ladder to the roof, and a sign beside the bed that makes it feel like someone was living there for real.

A fenced wheat patch leans toward a narrow path of torches. The path passes a dry well, a shallow pond, and a barn frame that was never finished. Farther out, the grass gives way to spruce trees and a mine entrance shored up with oak logs.

That is why the place is unsettling. It is not broken when you first enter. It looks cared for. It looks paused. Every chest, doorway, and stair makes it feel as if the player only stepped away for a minute and expected to come back.

The penciled sketch says the clue was hidden near the well and copied into the sound.
